Neck pain

Neck pain is a problem. In fact, most people will experience neck pain at some point in their lives. Commonly an episode of neck pain is not caused by a serious pathology and can be well managed with the right approach.

Where does your neck pain come from?

There are many reasons for neck pain. Often it comes from the small joints (cervical facets), supporting neck muscles, spinal nerves and cervical discs, or a combination of these structures.

Common neck conditions that may benefit from Osteopathic treatment include:

  • Torticollis / Acute wry neck
  • Cervical (neck) disc bulge and disc injury
  • Cervical radiculopathy
  • Whiplash injury
  • Cervical facet syndrome
  • Cervicogenic headache
  • Myofascial pain (muscle disorders)
